The “battle of the sexes” started with Adam and Eve.However, it will probably continue forever.In addition, the opinion that mean are superior to women has long been accepted in many cultures.Therefore, the feminist movement is trying to change this view.On the one hand, feminists claim that boys and girls are exactly equal at birth but become unequal because of the way they are treated by society. On the other hand, feminists believe education has contributed to the gender inequality. As far as I know, recent research contradicts the view that males and females are innately alike.

Catching a Cold

     Last Saturday, I went to Feng Chia night market with my friends. It was a little cold night. We bought some things and ate variety kinds of delicious food, such as oyster omelet, fried chicken steak and stinky tofu. Besides, we shared a lot of interesting things one another. To our surprise, the night market was crowded with people. We were even unable to move because almost all of the people crowded in the night market. It was a horrible experience. I thought that we should not come here on Saturday.

     Unfortunately, I felt dizzy, had a sore throat and had a running nose when I got up the next morning. After my mother knew that I catched a cold, she quickly took me to see a doctor. In the beginning, the doctor took my temperature and told me that I had a slight fever. Next, the doctor checked my throat and found that my throat was red and swollen. Finally, the doctor prescribed some medicine and advised me that I drink more water and take more rest.

     Now, I still feel under the weather. I have taken the medicine for four days. I hope I can get over soon.

My University Life

     I am filled with expectation for my university life. I hope that the four-year in
Chaoyang will be colorful. So far, I have studied in Chaoyang for three weeks. I find that university life is different from senior high school life. The university life is quite free. Besides, there are many extracurricular activities in school, such as basketball contest, volleyball contest, and so on.

     Within three weeks, I made a lot of friends from different area. We also began to know one another gradually. We had a meal together in lunch. After class, we talked about many interesting things and shared joy with one another. I think that broadening interpersonal relationship is an important part in the university life. About clubs, I am considering which clubs fit me.

     As for my study, I am striving to learn Japanese now. It is a language that I never learn in the past. But, I will try my best to learn it well. I expect that I can lead a colorful life in Chaoyang.
